Useful Travel Gift Ideas for Friend Going Abroad
Set of Packing Cubes
If your significant other is the practical type (like mine), you can’t go wrong with this set of packing cubes. They are also the perfect gift for friends too! The different sizes make them perfect for consolidating everything in your suitcase and with its space saving capabilities, you are likely to save money using smaller suitcases on your next trip (win-win).
Passport Wallet as a Useful Gift Idea

Passport Holders are also a practical fun gift idea for travel lovers. This RFID blocking version offers extra security with extra technology to protect your belongings against scammers and this Family Passport Holder is perfect for someone carrying multiple passports. If you are looking for the perfect gift for a person going abroad, this just might be it.
Wallet Phone Case
If you are traveling domestically, or just in your day to day activities, you may need something more minimal like this Wallet Phone Case. My husband and I both have one and absolutely love them. With enough space to hold two cards, I can often leave my purse behind which I am usually more than excited to do!
Modern Hard Shell Suitcase
This sleek, strong luggage set is a new family favorite in our house. Its spinner design makes traveling a breeze, and its interior space is perfect for a long weekend away. The included TSA approved coded lock is an added bonus, as are its variety of trendy colors. My husband convinced me to order the grey ones this time, but I’m thinking that our next order will be pink!

Family Travel Gift Ideas
If you are anything like our family, we strive to teach our children the value of experiences over material things. But sometimes tangible treats are fun too! Our Valentine’s tradition is to give each child a new book and a box of “we-never-usually-buy-this-kind” of sugary cereal. We love giving our children books that inspire their wanderlust and adventure. Bonus points go to travel books that teach them about a place that we will soon be traveling. Here are a few of our favorites.
Travel Books
The Travel Book: Mind-Blowing Stuff on Every Country in the World (Lonely Planet Kids)

Paint by Sticker Books (great for kids 5+ on long car rides or flights!)

Water Wow Water Painting Books (fun for children of all ages during travel!)

The Greetings from Somewhere Collection for Young Readers

American Girl: Grace who travels to Paris and Kanani in Kauai to name a few

Mission Paris: A Scavenger Hunt Adventure (Travel Guide For Kids)

I hope you found the perfect travel gift ideas for him or her or a special couple in your life! I’d love to hear what you settled on! I hope that everyday is a day filled with love and adventure!

Ooh, what a fun idea to book a vacation photo shoot! I love the idea of being able to have someone else worry about the lighting, making sure everyone is posed, and just be able to have fun and be in the moment. I’ve just recently heard about this company Flytographer and think it’s a brilliant idea. I can’t wait to check them out and possibly book them in the future. I also love the idea of having a cool journal. Sometimes it’s great to be able to just sit and write out a few thoughts without getting distracted by notifications and apps!
February 5, 2019
Flytographer really is the best – perfect for families, newlyweds, and even solo travelers too! 🙂
February 7, 2019
So glad you love the photo shoot idea! You can buy a gift certificate now to lock in your $50 credit and save it for a future trip even a year or two from now. It’s amazing!
February 6, 2019
Cool ideas – I also like the idea of having my vacation photos taken – and also made into a framed photo i could hang in the living room.

cool idea – i also like the idea of having a vacation photo shoot, get it framed to be hanged in the living room.
February 7, 2019
A family photo shoot definitely leaves you with frame worthy new living room art! 🙂

Great thought has been put into creating this article. There are so many items that I would like for myself and of course to buy for others. I love the idea of the flytographer! A great way to capture that perfect shot.

I usually suck at choosing gifts :(. With Valentine’s day right around the corner, I really didn’t know what to do but then I came across this post. You sure gave me a couple of good suggestions. Thank you for sharing this 🙂

Glad you found some helpful ideas!

These are some really innovative travel gift ideas. A vacation photo shoot sounds really exciting. Would personally prefer the Gopro though. The scratchable Map too makes for a nice gift for travellers to serve as triggers of memory.
February 7, 2019
We definitely tried to include ideas for all price points 🙂
February 9, 2019
Great suggestions thank you! Appreciate the discount links you’ve made available too, so handy 🙂 I especially love the idea of the wallet phone case – can think of a few situations where we’d be out exploring or roller blading and not want to carry a chunky wallet with us too.
February 9, 2019
You are so welcome! I hope you get to take advantage of those links-SO much fun! 🙂
February 9, 2019
Such good ideas! I definitely need to file some of these away. Thanks for sharing!

That leather journal gives me life! What a cool idea, especially with our tendency to get stuck in our phones and apps. And those gifts for kiddos are perfect to instill the wanderlust trait while they’re young ;). Great ideas here!
February 9, 2019
Nothing more fun then receiving travel related gifts if you are a traveller like me . You have got a great list out there and for me the clear winner would be the GoPro followed by the more rustic leather travel journal I must say. All the ideas are great but my top favourites remain the camera and a book to note my adventures. thanks for sharing
February 9, 2019
These are all so cute! I love the whole aesthetic of your blog.
February 14, 2019
Thank you so much! 🙂
February 9, 2019
These are all great ideas but I especially love the idea of gifting a family vacation photographer! I never thought of that before but it’s something I know I would treasure. We travel as a family and since I’m often the one behind the lens, we have way too few family pictures of us around the world. Brilliant idea!
February 10, 2019
Ooh, I hadn’t seen that Spigen case before! I have one without the wallet and I love it– maybe I’ll look to upgrade to your version when this one’s done. I’m with you, though– my favorite travel gift is always a quick trip!
February 11, 2019
These are awesome ideas! Though I always snap photos during our trips, it is nice to have that gorgeous couple photos taken by the professional so a photography package would be nice gift. And for practical travel, that organizer is a huge tip! Helps travelers to stay sane of their luggage.
February 14, 2019
Photos of the people I love in places that I love is my favorite wall art for sure!

February 14, 2019
These are all wonderful ideas! I am traveling to Ireland later this year and wanted to get photos, I will have to look into Flytographer!
